Why did you decide to come to Japan? Study abroad in Kyoto
How long did you stay? September 2010 to August 2011
What did you enjoy the most about your time in Japan? Bettering my language skills, seeing the beauty of Kyoto, traveling to other parts of Japan, (such as Sendai, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukui, ect.), seeing my favorite Japanese artist, w-inds., and meeting international and Japanese fans.
What, if anything, would you change about your time in Japan? I would have gotten a part time job at Starbucks and made plans to got Aomori and Kyushu at the end of my stay.
Would you come to Japan again in the future? Of course
Would you recommend traveling to Japan to a friend? Without a doubt
Do you have any travel tips or advice (cheap airfare, hotels) to give to future travelers? At some hostels, though I do not know which ones, you can stay there for free if you do chores for them in the morning.
Additional Comments: Every time someone asks me if it is safe to travel to Japan, without hesitation, I say yes. It is unfortunate that here in the US people believe that Japan is not safe and yet you hear almost nothing about it on the news. If enough voices unite, I am sure that image of a safe Japan can be restored in the international community.
